{{Proposed deletion/dated

Established in 2005, this calm Flagler beach home was very quant. Between St. Augustine and Daytona this was a perfect getaway for any family. A beautiful five bedroom house is a cozy place for any family to stay. Located right across the street is Flagler’s most popular restaurant, Snack Jacks, and behind this getaway are the beautiful beaches of Flagler.
A place so beautiful is almost too good to be true. Just 2 ½ years after being built tragedy struck this quiet town. On May 15, 2007 the family of Winger took a 2week vacation in this lovely home. A family of 5 took a trip that they wish they could take back. Three days into the trip as Jason and Julian Winger left for the beach they locked Justin(10), Jenny(8), and Jonathan(5) in the bottom floor of the house to play. The parents appeared to be ordinary people, but deep down they were ruthless and abusive parents. After several days of being locked in the lower part of this Flagler vacation spot, the children found themselves in a dark place. While playing games any child would play the children came across an old painting. The painting depicted the fallen angels of Lucifer, Drake and Darin. These two children were known for their abducting of child’s souls.
Across from this painting was a mirror, rumored to be where the souls were kept. It is said to have been kept completely intact for thousands of years. Knowing nothing of the demonic presence of these two items the Winger children continued to play. After many hours the children had broken the mirror. And the souls were said to be released from the imprisonment. Angry with the children, Drake and Darin swore to punish the children, Justin, Jenny, and Jonathan unaware of this plot enjoyed their solitude of the bottom floor.
May 21, 2007. The downstairs door had been unlocked and the kids wondered upstairs. Justin had wondered into the master bedroom where he knew his parents were staying. He took the wooden baton (their father would beat them with) to hide it from his parents. Jenny walked into the kitchen to find her brothers some food. Knowing they did not have a lot of time the children ran upstairs to hide. The children ran to the 3rd floor to look around, the bedrooms had nothing in them, no beds, no lights. The only thing they found were two candles laying on the floor of the rooms.
They children heard the front door open and their parents started screaming because the bottom floor door was opened. The kids frightened ran to the porch and stepped over the rail to hide on the roof. Mr. Winger so infuriated slamming doors shut downstairs came across the mirror. Picking up a large piece of glass started stomping up the stairs to the 3rd floor. After noticing the footprints of his children walking towards the porch, he locked the door trapping the kids on the roof.
While Mr. and Mrs Winger left, Justin concerned about the Florida heat attempted to lowered Jenny to the second floor balcony. Successfully Jenny made her way into the house through the kitchen. Running upstairs to unlocked the porch door, Jenny ran as fast as she could, only to be stopped by the mirror which had been completely restored, looking into the mirror she notice two figures standing behind her, Jenny turned around as fast as she could, but there was no one there. Turning back around the mirror was gone, the only thing that was there was the large piece of glass their father had dropped. Jenny picked up the glass and unlocked the door. Helping her younger brother down from the roof Jonathan made his way back downstairs. As Jenny followed Justin stopped upstairs noticing a doorway he had not been through on his first trip upstairs. As he walked through he noticed that there were two lit candles on a table. Justin blew out the candles and turned around and the doorway had been replaced by the broken mirror. Jonathan and Jenny were hidden in the garage, hoping to keep hidden from their father, and trying to protect her younger brother Jenny held onto the shattered glass.
Many hours went by and Jenny was concerned about her older brother, Justin. Jenny handed the piece of glass to Jonathan and made her way upstairs. Sneaking upstairs Jenny approached the third floor but could not find Justin. As she crept towards the stairs she stood right in front of the two fallen angels. Darin and Drake angry that the children had broken the mirror lunged towards Jenny. Jenny ran toward the roof she had hidden on before. She was safe for the time being. Jonathan scared to be alone held on so tight to the glass that his hand started to bleed. Hearing footsteps thinking it was Jenny, Jonathan stepped out of hiding and into the house. When he walked towards the steps he noticed the picture of the two angels.
Jonathan thinking the angels would give him comfort Jonathan walked upstairs and found the archway Justin had wondered into. As he walked in the candles were lit, but Justin was nowhere to be found. He looked outside and saw his parents walking into the house. Jonathan ran to the upstairs bathroom and stepped into the shower hoping it would hide him. Jonathan still holding onto the picture, his father stormed into the bathroom but was unable to see Jonathan. Before he walked out he noticed that the shattered glass was laying in the shower. He opened the door and picked up the glass. He turned around and saw the picture of the children, he then walked downstairs and placed the shattered glass on the top of the head of Mrs. Winger, she was sitting on the couch and had no idea of the presence of her husband. Mr. Winger took the glass and forced the glass on the top of her head, he then turned and walked out the door.
Jonathan unsure why his father was unable to see him hiding in the shower, walked in the hall where the archway was. He was greeted by Justin and they walked the house. Jenny seeing her father walking toward the beach climbed down and walked into the house. Seeing her mother’s body, Jenny screamed. She searched frantically throughout the house for her two brothers. Searching the whole house she finally became exhausted and fell down on the floor. Upon waking up a few hours later, she found candles surrounding her and her brothers standing over her. She didn’t know if she was dead or alive.
Justin, Jenny, and Jonathan walked upstairs and tried to find help but again they were locked in the house. But this lock was different from the other locks, this lock was locked by a single piece of glass.
Trying to find help no one could hear them. Drake and Darin approached the Winger children and explained of their entrapment in the house. No longer was the mirror the item that entrapped the souls of children. It was the house. The children fought to leave the house but were unsuccessful. Justin took his mother’s body upstairs to the archway. Knowing he could not tell the story to anyone, decided he had to find a way for the story to be told with spoken words. He took the blood of his mother and wrote this story on the walls of empty archway.
June 28th 2007, the body of Jason Winger was found floating 3miles out to see. Cause of death, suicide.
Police searched the house and no body was found inside the house, upon reading the story police searched the surrounding areas for the children.
The house has been cleaned and open for renters, the first visitors found the writing on the wall and decided to leave town early. The owners painted over the writing, assuming it was kids vandalizing his house.
The house had many visitors in 2007 and each family and group renting this vacation home saw the same writing, along with strange phenomenons. The owner closed up the room upstairs in hopes that the vandalism would cease.
Although the room is sealed, visitors have heard of footsteps, as well as talking, laughing, playing, pounding on walls, as well as doors shutting without any force.
Although most Americans do not believe ghost phenomenons, there is a force within this house. Many religious Americans do believe in demonic presence. Whether you believe in ghosts or demons, this vacation home should be demolished and its remains disposed in the ocean in which Jason Winger layed dead
Julian, Justin, Jenny, and Jonathan Winger have yet to be found. |

Discospinster: moved College of engineering, wayne state university to College of Engineering, Wayne State University: Capitalize
{{cleanup|date=May 2011}}
== Introduction ==
:
Wayne State University has one of the most prestigious engineering schools in the state. There are 2 main branches to choose from: engineering and engineering technologies. Within these 2 branches include 13 total undergraduate studies. Engineering offers 8 different majors which are: Civil, Environmental, Chemical & Materials Science, Mechanical, Biomedical, Industrial & Manufacturing, Computer, and Electrical engineering. Engineering Technology offers 4 main fields of study: Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Electronic Engineering Technology, Electric Transport Technology, and Electromechanical Engineering Technology. The College of Engineering employs over 100 professors and advisors; and as of 2003 the College was home to over 2600 undergraduate and graduate students. The College of Engineering partakes in very important research and has been rewarded with breakthrough results and findings.
== History ==
Wayne State University originally started out by the name of Detroit Junior College until it was made Wayne University in 1934. Early engineering education began in 1920, when a teacher by the name of Ernest Drake came to Detroit Junior College and began teaching basic level engineering courses in the schools chemistry program. In 1934, the first dean of the College of Engineering was named Arthur Carr. Carr served as the dean until his death in 1956. By 1937, the College of Engineering had 24 faculty members and 632 full-time students. It was located in Old Main and many of the laboratories were located in the basement of the building. In 1950, the College of Engineering moved out of Old Main into a new building on Putnam Avenue. The new building contained new laboratories as well as using some previous rooms in Old Main.
In 1986 the new engineering building was built, and it is located on the corner of Anthony Wayne Drive and Warren. After 10 years of running the college, a new building was constructed for industrial and manufacturing engineering. The building is now currently next to the building that houses most of the Engineering Technology students. After only 23 years, the College was in need for expansion. So in April 2009, the College opened a $27.3 million addition called the Marvin I. Danto Engineering Development Center. The building now houses many new state-of-the-art laboratories, which have been the center of very important research findings. In 2010 yet another new scene arose, Biomedical engineering was installed as an undergraduate (Bachelors degree) program.
As of 2001, the Wayne State University College of Engineering was ranked 6th in the nation of earned master degrees, as well as 21st in the nation of accepted graduate (Masters degree) enrollments. These high percentages have slowly declined due to the tightening of visas and green cards now strongly enforced by the government. Before this change, Wayne State was one of the leaders in attracting international exchange students. Numbers since 2001 of faculty include: 80 full-time faculty members and 2920 undergraduate and graduate students (1365 undergraduates and 1555 graduates). More than 75% of Wayne State engineering graduates are employed in the state of Michigan.
== Engineering Programs ==
The Wayne State University College of Engineering offers both undergraduate degree programs as well as graduate degree programs. The College of Engineering is divided into two categories: Engineering and Engineering Technology. Under the first category of engineering, eight specific programs are available which are the following: Chemical Engineering & Materials Science, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and as of Fall 2010, Biomedical Engineering. The second category, which is Engineering Technology, offers Bachelor of Science degrees for undergraduate students and Master of Science degrees for the graduate students. Listed below are each programs of engineering in more detail.
==== Biomedical & Engineering: ====
The College of Engineering offers to the biomedical engineering students the capability to explore and solve biology and medicine problems, as well as providing the overall improvement of health care. There are 5 main specialties: bioinstrumentation, biomaterials, biomechanics, medical imaging, and orthopedic surgery.
==== Chemical Engineering & Materials Science: ====
In the chemical engineering & materials science program students are taught to design and process new chemical technologies and materials to make goods used in people’s daily life.
==== Civil Engineering: ====
In the civil engineering program, the College of Engineering offers the opportunity for students to learn about metropolitan maturation and design everyday structures, like airports, bridges, buildings, dams, roads, tunnels, sewage and water supply systems, surface and groundwater pollution. Additionally, it teaches students how civil engineers could oversee on construction site locations. The civil engineering department introduces the main four specialties of civil engineering, which are construction, environment, structural and transportation for the undergraduate students.
==== Computer Engineering: ====
In the computer engineering program, the College of Engineering teaches undergraduate and graduate students the meaning of “Hi-Tech”. The computer engineering department trains undergraduate students in computer, energy conversion systems, electric power systems, and electronic controls.
==== Electrical Engineering: ====
The electrical engineering department gives the opportunity to undergraduate students to learn the mains areas of electrical engineering to prepare for the real world. Like fiber optics, lasers, and solid state devices.
==== Environmental Engineering: ====
The environmental department of the College of Engineering offers two of the world’s main environmental laboratories just minutes away; which are Metro Detroit and the Great Lakes. Also, the college of engineering gives few of the main environmental internships to undergraduate students on recycling, public health issues, and air pollution control.
==== Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering: ====
The College of Engineering introduces how the industrial engineering helps our economy and what they do. The industrial engineers develop supervision direct systems to help in economic development and cost analysis, design manufacture planning and control systems to organize activities. Also, industrial engineers make sure manufactured goods, salary administration systems, and job estimate programs run efficiently. Also associated with Industrial Engineering at Wayne State is the Manufacturing Engineering program which teaches students how to test and design many manufacturing systems and to rebuild materials for life cycling. Also, the manufacturing program teaches how to understand the force of quality, cost and suitability measurements on exceptional manufacturing performance. The College introduces the three main areas of Manufacturing Engineering: computer manufacturing, integrated product engineering, and quality engineering.
==== Mechanical Engineering: ====
The mechanical engineering program offers the undergraduate students the opportunity to work on electric generators, engines, power-producing machines, steam and gas turbines. The college gives opportunities to students who wish to expand on their knowledge of design, research, test tools, and many other mechanical devices. The college of engineering offers a lot of internship and co-ops for mechanical engineering.
== Research/ Findings ==
At $254 million spent annually on research expenditures, Wayne State ranks among the nation's top universities for research according to the National Science Foundation. Additionally, Wayne State is among only 3.6 percent of the nation's universities with an RU/VH (Research Universities, Very high research activity) classification from the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of teaching. Few of the many research discoveries are:
*Wayne state research has developed thermal images used on airplanes to detect tiny fissures in the body of the plane.
*Bioengineering has conducted tests on human impact tolerances, which has influenced the following safety features: seatbelts, air bags, safety barriers, and helmets.
*The Chemical Engineering program has fabricated prototype blood vessels from poly saccarhides (biomaterials that are an emerging class in several biomedical fields such as tissue regeneration, particularly for cartilage, drug delivery devices and gelentrapment systems for the immobilization of cells. Important properties of the polysaccharides include controllable biological activity, biodegradability, and their ability to form hydrogels) which are found in crab shells. These are used for developing replacements which are more effective than grafting for damaged human blood vessels.
*The researchers in the College of Engineering are using synthetic stem cells (a cell that upon division replaces its own numbers and also gives rise to cells that differentiate further into one or more specialized types, as various B cells and T cells) to help human immune systems fight bone cancer.
